A Bridge Between Tradition and Modernity, a Force for Development

Presentation of the AIRSS

The International Association of Sédo Sébé Natives (AIRSS) is much more than an organization — it embodies the unwavering will of a community united by its roots, driven by its diaspora, and focused on the future.

Founded in October 1977 in France, at 24 rue de Chalon in the 12th arrondissement of Paris (Gare de Lyon district), AIRSS was born through the vision of pioneering men and women who sought to preserve the cultural identity of their native village while laying the groundwork for its growth. While the association was created in 1977, it was officially registered and received its administrative certificate on March 15, 1990 — granting it legal recognition and enhanced operational capacity.

Since then, AIRSS has continued to grow, now bringing together over 2,000 members — including 1,400 active members — primarily based in Europe and North America.

Despite the distance, these sons and daughters of Sédo Sébé have never severed their bond with their homeland. They are the builders, the guardians, and the carriers of a shared vision. Through major initiatives in education, healthcare, infrastructure, and environmental sustainability, they actively contribute to the transformation of the village.

Our History, Our Heritage

A Commitment Born from a Vision

AIRSS was born in a context of migration, where distance never meant forgetting. Founded by emblematic figures such as the late El Hadji Moustapha SOGNANE, the late El Hadji Amath SEBOR, the late Mamadou Korka THIONGANE, Samba SEBOR, Mamadou Woula NDOM, Aliou Gamou NDOM, Moustapha NDAO, Samba Cheikh NDAO, and other valiant sons of the village, it is the result of a shared will: to organize the diaspora in order to structure the development of Sédo Sébé.

From its earliest steps, the association has multiplied its initiatives, blending solidarity, commitment, and concrete action. Each completed project is a building block, a living testimony to the unwavering attachment of its members to their native village.
