A Key Partnership with Counterpart International: Commitment to Early Childhood Development
Since its creation, the International Association of Sédo Sébé Nationals (AIRSS) has placed education at the heart of its priorities. Among its most significant achievements, the construction of the “Case des Tout-Petits” (Early Childhood Center) in Sédo Sébé marks a major advancement in the village’s preschool education. This project was made possible through the involvement of local actors, support from educational authorities, and most importantly, the vital contribution of Counterpart International.
A Modern Facility for Early Learning
In 2012, responding to the needs expressed by the village’s women and under the initiative of Alassane Mangane, Counterpart International funded the construction of classrooms and the perimeter wall of the Early Childhood Center. This created a safe and nurturing environment for young children to learn and grow. Thanks to the commitment of the Senegalese government, the school also received official authorization and a qualified teaching staff.
This facility represents much more than just a school:
✔ A space tailored to the early development and learning of young children
✔ A secure environment enclosed by a protective wall
✔ A response to the strong community demand for accessible preschool education
A Renewed Call for Partnership for the Future
Building on this successful collaboration, AIRSS is once again appealing to Counterpart International to support the improvement and expansion of educational infrastructure in the village. With a growing population, expanding access to preschool education has become a key priority to ensure future generations benefit from equitable learning opportunities from the earliest age.
Investing in Education Is Investing in the Future
Thanks to Counterpart International, Sédo Sébé has taken a decisive step forward in early childhood education. AIRSS remains committed to ensuring that every child, from their earliest years, has access to the best possible conditions to grow, learn, and thrive.
